Matthias Nowakowski studied Musicology and Philosophy at the University of Cologne and Media Informatics at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf. During his studies he focused on electroacoustic music and the links between computer science and acoustic arts. This lead to working on his Bachelor Thesis about transcribing electroacoustic music at the Fraunhofer IDMT in Ilmenau. In his current work he concentrates on human computer interaction with notation applications.
