Lydia Keymling finished her diploma and Aufbaustudium as a cellist at Musikhochschule Lübeck. At the end of her musical education she started her bachelor’s degree in media informatics at Fachhochschule Lübeck. In 2011 she finished her master’s degree at the same time having started her job as co-principal cellist at Neue Philharmonie Westfalen. Ten years later her interest in music and informatics led to the decision to start her doctoral thesis on digital learning tools for conducting students.
